Umlaute in Shopmails

Hallo zusammen,

Shopmails (Hauptshop wie auch Subshops) zeigen im Body Umlaute korrekt an, im Betreff steht jedoch nur Symbolkauderwelsch an Stelle von Ä, Ö, Ü oder &. An welcher Stelle muss man hier schrauben?

Jetzt mit genauerer Beschreibung.

- Beispiel:
Bestellbestätigung:
Ihre Bestellung: Nr.: {$nr} am {$date}

Umlaute, die an dieser Stelle als Klartext eingetragen werden, zB. "Ihre Bästellüng ...", werden auch korrekt codiert und angezeigt. Probleme gibt es aber, wenn in den Variablen ein Umlaut vorkommt. So zB. letzter Monat war der März. Das Ä von März wurde nicht angezeigt. Je nach Mailclient /Browser wurde das Ä mit Platzhaltern, in einem Falle sogar der ganze Betreff verstümmelt angzeigt.

Du solltest durchgängig UTF verwenden, auch Serverseitig, vor allem aber in der Datenbank. Dann kommen diese Probleme nicht mehr vor.

Die Monate kommen aus der Serverumgebung, deshalb kann es passieren, dass das Setzen der Kodierung auf einigen Servern nicht klappt, da es entweder nicht erlaubt wird oder die entsprechende Kodierung nicht installiert ist oder in:
