Creating a new shop

Hello,

I want to make a new undershop, I did everything right with the installation, do I have to load the files to the domain of the new undershop, or a completely new installation?
How can I connect the new undershop with the mainshop, after I have made the changes in the admin (neue shop anlegen), do I have to change anything on my server and could you tell me how to do this?

Al my domains are one 1 server.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Best regards,

you don't have to install the store once more, just click to shopmanagement => stores => create new store. Change to the new store (dropdown at the top of the page) and set your domain by selecting store domains.

server:
your domain for second shop should show to same place like first one. so that all domains of store should map to same directory like the first, where your files are

How can I do this? with FTP? I have a DIRECT ADMIN Panel.
Or can I change the htaccess file in public_html with something?

Can you also install other modules into the system (xtc modules like PayPal express, sofortuberweisung, direkt URL, etc.)

Looking forward to hear from you.

You can change your domainsettings in two ways:
1. you've got an adminpanel, which allows to set the domainwebspace to an directory your choice
2. you've an ssh account with root rights to change the configuration of apache

Yes, we can install modules, but they have to be changed for the multistore, send us a mail which modules it should be.

I can't see where I can do this, when I go in directadmin I have DNS Menu, Cron Jobs, Mime Types, Apache handlers, Site redirection, domain pointers, domain administration.
Could you tell me where I have to make changes, and what these changes are.

If you like I can send you the login of the directadmin, I use it only for testing the software, because we want the latest version, but want to know if we can work easy with this software.

I will send you an email these days with some modules I want to have installed.

Looking forward to hear from you.

If you see the same, than should it be ok, have you set the domain of the substore to that domain.

Select Store in Dropdown => shopmanagement => store domains => enter domain

If you've only the one template you'll differ the shops at the storename, change it in configuration.

This doesn't work, when I make a categorie or a product and I select only one shop, I see it on both shops, also when I go to the admin of my subshop and change the shopname in configuration I still get the name of the mainshop at the front of the shop.

You can see the testshops at:
www.smartboardshop.nl (mainshop)
www.crazykids.nl (subshop)

What is the problem?

the domains have to be mapped to the same place, redirections won't work.

example:
Maindomain maps to this directory:
/var/www/vhosts/maindomain.com/httpdocs

the seconddomain has to map to that directory

that can be changed e.g. per ssh. the apache configuration has to be changed, so that the virtualhost shows to the same directory, is that an root or managed server?

I have PuTTY running, and are connected to my domain, what should I do now?
Do I have to type some command?

I never used ssh before, so I don't know the script language.

I can't see the configuration with that user account, the only way if you don't have an root account would be to symlink the Domain folders with the hope that apache has followsymlinks active
